Marialena Donta is a Dietitian – Nutritionist graduate of the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition of Harokopio University of Athens.
As part of her studies, she carried out a research degree study entitled “Effect of moderate wine consumption on the levels of protein carbonyls in patients with Coronary Artery Disease” which was posted at the panhellenic conference of dietetics and nutrition and then led to a publication in the scientific journal Nutrients. As part of his internship, he was trained both at the General Military Hospital of Athens 401 and at a private dietetic office.
She then specialized in Clinical Nutrition through her postgraduate studies at Harokopion University, specifically in the Applied Nutrition – Clinical Nutrition program. As part of her master’s thesis, she carried out an experimental research study entitled “Synergy of phenolic components in the action of platelets”.
At the same time, she has attended and actively participates in a series of educational conferences and seminars such as the ESPEN workshop “Nutrition in IBD patients”, with the aim of further enriching her knowledge.
Since 2022, she has been working as a private dietitian – nutritionist, having previously collaborated with a chain of gyms in Athens. She conducts online and at-home nutritional assessment, counseling and intervention sessions, designing specialized nutritional plans.
